Opening Doors to Education: Building in a Community of Need
Eleos is proud to support the incredible work of the Pipal Tree charity, whose latest project has seen the completion of a vital new Community Learning Centre in Nepal. This new facility will provide a safe and supportive educational environment for 450 children in a community overcoming immense hardship.
At Eleos, we are passionate about supporting impactful projects that create lasting change. We are therefore delighted to highlight the recent completion of a new Community Learning Centre in a deprived area of Nepal, a project brought to life by the Pipal Tree charity.

The centre serves a community of 1,800 people who were relocated after a devastating flood in 2004. With limited opportunities, the area became stigmatized as "The Thief Village," leaving its 450 children at high risk of falling out of the education system.

This new facility provides a crucial entry point to mainstream schooling, offering a place for non-formal education, study, and homework support to help them escape the poverty trap.

The building itself is a model of innovation, constructed using environmentally friendly eco-bricks and designed with a raised roof for natural cooling. It also serves a dual purpose as a relief centre during the region's frequent floods. We are proud to support this initiative, which provides not just a building, but a beacon of hope and a pathway to a better future for the entire community.
